Anastasia Pritsou was Andreas’s and my mutual grandmother and great-grandmother. The man in the photo is George Kambas, Anastasia’s first husband. They had two children together Constantinos Kambas and Anastasis Kambas. George passed away during the voyage to America, after which Anastasia met Dimitrios Koutris while travelling by boat to Australia. They later married and had four children together.

My mother, Athena Koutris, was a midwife in Greece, but decided to move to Australia to learn English. There, she met an Australian man, and they had four children together. These were my parents.
